Children need role models, heroines, and heroes to help them live their dreams.
This book is for children from around the world who should find such role models everywhere and in every culture.
It was especially important to me that children of African descent in the diaspora read about such great people and connect with their history.
This is intended to promote pride and knowledge of Africa among the young ones as well as greater self-esteem.
Thomas Sankara is an excellent role model. He worked for his people and their good and was brave, determined, and above all, generous.
